The obligatory first day back photo. This September, she's Year 10. And just a week or so in, she had her vaccination.
We spent a lovely weekend in Sheringham.
They braved the stones.
They braved the water.
Not suggesting there's a touch of the Goth creeping in, but if this is her idea of sunbathing...
Girl's gotta paddle.
We visited a bookshop that has been the same labyrinthine mess for decades. (It took a while to find our way back out again.)
With Nanny Rachel, we then visited Cromer and tracked down the Banksy piece he'd left on his 'Spraycation'.
Pretty bizarre for something that has come to be considered multi-million pound art to be on a breakwater in Norfolk.
Speaking of works of art, check out this tray of hot, fat chips.
Pretty girls.
The following weekend, we took a little break exploring Norwich.
Lily started with a purchase on the market.
We wandered all over, and took in Elm Hill.
And the University.
We treated ourselves to a meal.
Might've over-ordered but we don't eat out all that often these days.
She treated herself to an ear cuff and some rings. It was so weird seeing her shopping in places like Head In The Clouds (where we used to buy our stuff thirty years ago).
We settled in for the night - then Mummy had the fab idea of heading out for a quick frame of bowling.
This is the shirt she'd bought on the market by the way.
Rockin' the bowling alley.
Is it me or is she a lot longer than she used to be?
We settled in to our hotel and watched Emma Raducanu win the tennis. Then headed out next morning for breakfast over the river.
One of the reasons we'd chosen this weekend for our visit was to go to the kilo sale being held in The Halls.
You sift through all the stuff, find what you like then pay by weight.
She found a ton of stuff. Well, not a ton. That would have bankrupted us.
Back home, Lily developed a liking for a certain band. That Daddy was only too keen to encourage.
We tried our hand at making pasta from scratch.
This was the result. And pretty good it was too.
Think she's trying to point out that the temperatures have dropped recently.
One last hurrah at Adventure Island.
Then while out and about with her friends, one of them snapped this pic. That's the album cover, right there.
