We wished lovely mummy a happy birthday with a homemade cake.
We did our best, with Lily serving as an excellent creative director.
Speaking of baking, it was Bake Off season again. So we created themed tasty treats to eat along with each episode.
One of Lily's school art projects was to create a personal interpretation of a giant poppy for Remembrance Day.
And here it is proudly displayed outside the local church.
We headed to Norfolk and mummy noticed there wa an open day at the college. As we were passing, we thought we'd take a look at the art courses.
We started out looking at the UAL courses in art and design.
But as soon as Lily set foot in the A level room, it was like she already belonged. Also a bizarre throwback to history repeating itself some thirty years on.
We stopped off for an ice cream by the river.
Then on to our real reason for visiting - to wish Grandad James a very happy 80th birthday.
There were presents.
And a bit of height comparison.
We all went out for a lovely evening meal.
Loads of Jim's family were there.

Lily created this fab doll of Coraline. Complete with hand made clothes and of course buttons for eyes.
The first mini pumpkin appeared in the build up to Halloween.
And some frighteningly good art from one of Lily's preparatory school exams.
She also joined the rest of the class for a weekend landscape drawing excursion.
Half term time and Lily headed off to Ikea.

We really did have a fab Halloween and squeezed in a load of scary movies, including Scream, Attack The Block, Ghostbusters, Corpse Bride and a bit of Hellboy.
