Essexmas.

Festive flamingoes. Of course.

The tree was all decorated and had so many presents round it we couldn't see the base.

This was the first year we had Christmas right here at home. So Lily's presents from Santa were waiting in the front room when she woke up.

She got all sorts of lovely things. Like a Fingerling.

And this highly appropriate hoodie.

There were bath bombs...

...and monsters.

We had guests and laid on Christmas Dinner.

Then on Boxing Day we took a stroll down to the seafront.

It was chilly but lovely.

Naturally, there was plenty of Lego to be assembled.

Even Sammy got into the spirit.

It was fantastic to have everyone round to spend time with us, we had a really special Christmas.

Mummy had a posh new present too.

The 27th was snowy. We couldn't resist wrapping up and heading out - you have to make the most of snow whenever you get the chance.

One of Lily's presents was a voucher for Build-A-Bear.

This is Toby the Tiger. He has Converse on each of his four feet because that makes him 'really look like a tiger'.

And in what has become something of a tradition, we headed out to fly a kite. Though we had a bit of trouble with this one.

Part of the same tradition is a warming meal in Rossi's afterwards.

Because we'd spent Christmas in Essex, we headed to Norfolk for New Year. So this year, we saw the panto at the Theatre Royal in Norwich (starring Derek Griffiths!).

Then it was time for a party at Nanny Maureen and Granddad Jim's.

Toby got dressed up.

So did Russell.

We had a fab evening and all stayed up to see 2018 in.

Somebody even stayed up until 1:20 am...

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
