Getting in the spirit.

Christmas is fast approaching, but Lily still has a few things left to do at school.

Like competing as part of the Dodgeball team.

Here they are, ready for action.

They did very well and even placed for a medal.

Lily is a very proud team member.

Christmas shopping time and Southend is looking very festive.

There was even a little flurry of snow...

...and the annual visit from the Coca Cola truck.

Holidays are coming, holidays are coming...

Lily and Mummy tucked into pizza (while Daddy was doing the same in Milan).

Here's Joey Ramone all ready for... no, wait! That's our little girl.

Lily helped Daddy with the food shopping.

And she posed with the kissing carrots.

This is Lily's official school photo. We're not usually fans of such a thing, but this is rather good.

This was the first of several carol recitals Lily played and sang in.

But she still managed to find time to party.

Chips always go down well.

And here's a quick selfie with Edith.

On a cold Saturday morning, Lily and Daddy got the duvet down and cuddled up on the sofa.

Then it was off to another performance, this time at the fire station.

We couldn't resist a photo opportunity with the fire engine.

Hot stuff!

Every year, we have a mini Christmas celebration when we go and get our tree. This year, it fell on the one day we had proper snowfall.

It made the whole day even more special.

Lily just about managed to make a snowman from it.

Then we got the decorations up.

And pulled a cracker or two.

Also around this time of year, Mummy makes Lily a special dress for the Strictly final.

Look a the swirl on that.

You can even see that swirl in slow motion if you'd like. It's VERY impressive...

The dress was perfect to dance the night away.

Granddad James took a turn on the floor.

And a good time was had by all.

Sure enough, Lily took home the champion's glitterball.

Nice quick photo with Nanny and Granddad.

Then it was the last day of term and school ended with a Santa run in the park.

See you all in the New Year guys!

This was our final junior school carol concert. Lily got her guitar out one more time.

We were very close to her this year and can absolutely confirm she played and sang brilliantly.

Another tradition is treats on the way home after.

Lily and Mummy went ice skating at Tower Hill.

Then we all met up and went for dinner.

It was another fab Christmassy night out.

Cute selfie.

That's the sofa from the summer house. The great thing about struggling to lift it all the way into our front room is that you can crash out on it after.

Lily went out for some last minute shopping and bumped into all her friends.

Then she helped Aunty Sarah get her Christmas tree...

...and decorate it. And with that, we're all just about ready for the big day.
