Kryptonics!

Eddie Munson would be proud.

The biggest gig of the year was nearly on us. Forget Billie Eilish or Green Day, Kryptonics has their very first gig as a supprt act at Southend's Teenage Kicks. Lily was rehearsing hard.

The band secured some time in the YMCA studio to practise.

They even live streamed it!

Meanwhile, Lily prepared for her art PPE. She planned to use this old shed door as a canvas to paint an image of Papa on.

Good news, bad news. The good news is the result was phenomenal. Lily used air dried clay to create a 3D effect and painted this amazing close up of Papa's eye. The bad news was it only took her four hours. She had a whole second day to fill even though the teachers all agreed this was a finished piece.

So Lily texted us to follow a treasure map her teacher had created. And we had to track down and steal a second door that had been spotted in a back street skip.

Piece number two, nailed.

Awards time rolled around and sure enough, Lily's efforts were recognised. By Bev.

Okay. This is it. Day of the gig. Lily went down to the venue to get set up and we suddenly received a message that the main act had pulled out at the last minute. Keyptonics no longer had a support slot. They were headlining. This was their moment. And they absolutely SMASHED it.

They totally won over the crowd with a mix of their own material and covers. The crowd even seemed to know the words to 'Attack', one of their original songs.

Seriously, they were incredible. And one of those moments you tip over from being a proud parent to being in awe of what your daughter is capable of.

Lily's performance was so astonishing, she even received a proposal of marriage. Only joking. Cough. She just did a bit more modelling for Mummy.

The temperature soared to the highest the country had ever experienced. Lily styled it out by reading in the paddling pool.

And havimg a water fight with Mummy.

The gang made the most of the sunshine in the park.

Then we tried out some new sunglasses.

Looks like someone is waiting for a text message.

We had a great night out at Sandra's birthday party. A few drinks, some dancing and absolutely nothing else of any note whatsoever.

With her PPEs done and Year 10 finished, she couldn't wait to get her hair dyed for the summer holidays.

Ta-daa! Now she just needs to head out somewhere and show the world.
