Well, this is quite exceptional. For her patterns in nature project, Lily painted these mackerel. Keep saying it, but I think her art skills are about five years ahead of what's expected. As you'll see in a minute, her art teacher thinks so too...
After her Flea bass shorted out, Lily tries out another from Daddy's collection.
For Valentine's Day, she made and decorated this Arctic Monkeys themed cake.
Can't beat a plate of Ikea meatballs.
In half term, Lily and her friends headed off to Lakeside.
Aside from some comedy train timetable shenanigans, they had a great day out.

Then we headed off for another wonderful mini break in Norwich.
It may have been a bit raining but that couldn't dampen the joy of finding a Funko Pop of Florence Pugh.
The reason we'd picked this weekend was for the Love Light festival.
The whole of Norwich had events and displays and happenings dotted right the way across it. And the city came out in the evening to enjoy it all.
We took a quick break in St Andrews Hall for mulled wine and hot chocolate while an artist painted with light.
Then followed the trail to some fab installations, including this lovely rainbow arch.

Back home, Lily took a walk out towards the fields past Leigh station.
As mentioned earlier, Lily is doing very well with her art. To the point where her teacher phoned us upo and said "I'm struggling to find something she can't do." With that in mind, she suggested Lily tag along to a life drawing class in town one Friday evening. I'd say her skills were still up to it...
And to finish the month, we wished Papa Jack a happy birthday.

Interestingly, the last time we were here together was the week we went into the first lockdown back in 2020. Now here we are as all restrictions are finally lifted. Let's hope it's all better times from now on.
