Happy ChristMay

Capturing the moment on canvas yeah? What is it, acrylics?

The improvement these have made to her vision has been a real eye opener.

As requested by a bride to be, someone needed to model one of Mummy's veils.

With restrictions eased, we were able to pay a garden visit to Jim and Maureen.

There were even a couple of presents still waiting for us from Christmas.

And what lovely weather we had for it.

I'm sure she used to be smaller you know.

We made musical cupcakes.

And glammed up for Eurovision night. Ya Ya Ding Dong!

Lily got an annual pass for Adventure Island.

And set about getting her money's worth.

We can see you.

Quite like this photo. All the gang, in their masks, in the dark.

Lily got a shout out on the school Instagram for being an Excellent Student.

With a bit of  eighties inspiration from Wynona Rider (!), Lily decided her hair was for the chop.

And Mummy made a fab job of it.

Then she tried her hand at being Insta-glam.

Filters, yeah?

Look, I know I sound every bit the proud parent. But this is Lily's drawing of Mummy's hands, done in biro directly onto a dress pattern with thread applied after. I think her talent is astonishing.

Now with family members once again allowed to stay over, Nanny Rachel came for a visit. First up, we enjoyed the sunshine at Mummy's new patio bar.

There was a lovely afternoon tea.

Then, because we hadn't been able to be together in December, we held a Christmas do-over, with turkey, the tree up, prezzies, the works.

And, of course, plenty of roast potatoes.

Because the guest room has been repurposed as a home office, Lily kindly gave up her bedroom and spent the night in the shed. Which wasn't quite so much of a hardship as it sounds.

Then as a bit of Bank Holiday fun, Lily and friends headed to the beach with a paddleboard.

A mini seaside holiday right on the doorstep.

But the sad news is that on Sunday, Dee Dee went out and hasn't been seen since. Mummy and Lily have put up posters, handed out leaflets and knocked on doors. We hope she's okay, but it's been three days now. Come home little cat.
