At the start of the month, Daddy took some time off so we could all be together for the last few days before Lily went back to school (after that ENORMOUS break). We went for a shopping trip - which looks slightly different these days.
This is the new normal at Lakeside.
Here she is, ready for Year 9.
We kicked it old school with a game of Operation. There goes his funny bone...
And having been slightly disappointment (and just a little put off) by the dining options on our shopping expedition, we created our own Food Court themed Sunday lunch, with an assortment of dishes from all around the world.
And another themed meal - this time, Gilmore Girls treats.
Lily hosted a celebration for a friend.
And put together a new outfit from a Southend haul.
One evening I came downstairs to find this tableau waiting for me. Think they were trying to tell me it was time to turn the heating on.
Sure enough, as well as the radiators we also lit our first fire of the season.
Which was much appreciated all round.
Lily's art skills are really coming on. So we treated her to her first 'Art Bin'.
The nation gave a collective sigh of relief when Bake Off returned. And Lily knew just what to do.
She whipped up these super tasty Party Rings, for us to enjoy in front of Biscuit Week. Nice.
