Lily kicked the month off with a video game party for Jacob's birthday.
Then we all went for a night out with Edith and her famlily.
Mummy went to the school to see all the latest creations.
Lily's very lucky to have such a clever Mummy who can make amazing clothes - like this one of a kind unicorn top.
It's a perfect fit in every sense.
Lily's pretty clever too.
The girls wrapped up warm to come into London.
Lily got into the swing of things outside the Tate.
They visited Daddy in his lunchbreak.
We all went up to the very top of the Tate's new extension and looked out at the skyline.
Then Lily was off into the West End for shopping...
...and a show.
Nana and Papa took Lily to the trampoline centre.
She was leaping around even more than usual.
Now THAT'S a hot dog.
Ooooh, someone has a secret admirer...
Lily got practising for her Bikeability course (which, I'm happy to report, she passed).
And here's a little teenager all dolled up for yet another party.
And now, the main event. Britain was visited by The Beast From The East, a cold front sweeping in from Russia. When the first snow hit, even though it was nearly bedtime, we got our coats on and headed outside.
We can never pass up the chance to enjoy the snow just in case it disappears quickly.
We needn't have worried. The snow stuck around for three days. Next morning, we went to the park before school.
Mummy pulled the sledge there.
Lily played in the snow.
Even Daddy was able to come along before work.
Here's a lovely shot, first thing before anyone else has left any footprints.
Then it was Daddy's turn to pull the sledge home.
But on Wednesday, there was no school at all.
And everyone met up to make the most of it.
Here's a snow angel.
We were snowed in.
So the sledge got a lot of use.
Mummy and Lily spent most of the day in the park.
Here's a clip of the intrepid sledger.
Building a snowman with Ella.
And joining in the races.
Even Mummy had a go.
Here's a new trick. Lily took up snowboarding.
As you can see, she got pretty good at it.
Here's Holly.
The sledge also proved useful for getting logs home for a cosy fire.
Edith and Sandra came out.
There were more street races.
Even a downhill bob skeleton event.
Then at the weekend, Daddy managed to join in. Here's a POV film of sledging down the big slope.
That was the most snow and the most fun we've had from an Essex winter.
