Here's a new feature for the blog - a special edition 'Annual ' post, looking back over all the year's adventures. Waaay back in Jan, Lily visited the Science Museum.
Then there was the whole business of trying to tell her we were going on a special holiday...
Mummy and Daddy had a quiet weekend when Lily went on her Parents Get Lost trip with the school.
Though it was anything but quiet for weeks after we took Lily to see this:
For World Book Day, Mummy made a special Rock n Roll Fairy costume.
Then it was time to go on that special holiday I mentioned.
Lily's school project was all about the Romans and once again, Mummy's skills were called upon.

This was created for Aunty Laura's baby shower in the shop.
Lily got to visit Harry Potter World.
And she enjoyed an equally magical time at her eighth birthday party.
We all had great fun at our special 'Home Glasto'.
And our clever little girl earned her gold star for maths in the very last few days of term.
We saw Craig Revel Horseradish at The Cliffs Pavillion.
We also explored the Cutty Sark from prow to stern.
Lily took up tennis.
And welcomed Benji Mills to Essex.

Fabulous weather meant we had an absolutely brilliant time on safari in Kent.
We're still benefiting from the Snuggi blankets.

Barely a week later, we were off to Chessington World of Adventures.
Did I mention Lily took up tennis? Oh wait, that's not a racquet...
There was a new shopgirl helping out during the Wedding Fair at Olympia.
And the Miss Trunchbull costume for Roald Dahl day was so eyecatching it even got tweeted out by the school.
Lily threw a Halloween party for her friends, complete with Trick or Treating.
Then we attended the spectacular fireworks display at East Beach.
There was a pop-up ice rink at Southend.
And for the first time ever, we dragged our hand picked Christmas tree home through the streets together.
One final amazing costume from Mummy, this time for the Strictly final.
Lily helped out getting Mummy's shop ready to move to its new location.
Then she must have been a good girl this year as Santa brought a whole heap of presents.
Lily finished the year by staying up to see Big Ben strike midnight (and celebrating with late night cheese crackers).
Wonder what adventures next year's Annual will hold...
