Get yer skates on.

This was a message that Lily sent Daddy when he was late one evening.

She was given an assignment to write about Phillip Pullman. So created this, which also tells a story about Mummy.

And here's another piece of writing Lily worked hard on. This year's letter to Santa.

We made sure it went off okay.

Mummy and Lily went late night shopping in Southend. And couldn't resist a cheeky hot chocolate.

8 years old and drinking in the street already.

Speaking of shopping, it looks like Amazon's running man has crashed out in our dining room...

Today, we decided to head out to Skates-On-Sea, a pop up ice rink in Southend.

We were wobbly at the start, but soon got the hang of it.

It was very cool. And by cool, I mean absolutely freezing.

Lily even had quick go on a slippery seal.

Not sure who's holding who up, here.

We had a fantastic time. It was a wonderful surprise winter adventure (made all the better when we got home for hot chocolate (with extra marshmallows for Lily and extra dark rum for Mummy and Daddy).
