Right then, first big adventure of the summer. We set off for another part of Essex and spent the morning on the seafront at Clacton.
This time last year, we were taking similar pictures in Barbados.
But Lily doesn't care. She had a great time, even if the water was a touch on the chilly side.
Bathing beauty.
And when she'd had enough of the sea, she built a sandcastle. And when she'd had enough of the sandcastle...
We made a quick supply stop and Lily bought this with her own money. We believe it's the first album she has bought herself. Mummy and Daddy remember NOW 1, but Lily wanted the latest one because she saw it advertised and it has the song 'Rather Be' on it.
And here we are at the converted Cargo Pod on Lee Wick Farm. It was brilliant.
The centre section opened right up to bring the outside inside.
You could chill our and enjoy the little private orchard from the sofa.
Or catch some rays on the decking.
We fired up the barbecue and enjoyed burgers, hot dogs and mummy's special marshmallow and chocolate barbecued bananas.
After playing Bop It and Game Of Life and listening to the radio until quite late, we decided to shut the bifold doors on our little garden and settle down.
Then after a bit of a wrong turn to St Osyth beach and the surrounding holiday park, we headed back to Clacton for another morning of sand, sea and sun.
Which, we're pretty sure, Lily was rather happy about.
