Good as Gold.

Lily has got six and a half weeks off. That's a lot of days that need filling with exciting stuff. Fortunately, we have a lovely garden...

...and somewhere to paddle nearby.

We've been here over a year now and it's pictures like this that remind us why we moved.

Another day, Lily comes home to find Daddy has left her a treasure trail.

One map led to another...

...which in turn led to a chest of gold. Well, a tub of sweeties.

Next up, fruit picking.

Nice day for it.

And here's a good haul, which was turned into delicious homemade muffins and puddings.

More paddling, this time even closer to home.

Next on Lily's busy social calendar was a play date with friends. Two thumbs fresh.

Forget Little Chef - this is a true Olympic Breakfast. It had to get Lily Boo through a very, very long day.

Her preparations for the opening ceremony began early, with Wenlock.

As a special treat, Mummy did a curry night for Daddy. Lily tried a little. And her expression says it all.

Lily was allowed to stay up and watch the opening ceremony.

By the time the Queen jumped out of a helicopter, Lily told us she still wasn't tired. No, not one bit...

Then, to round off her first week, an ice lolly by the seaside.

Lily has a lot of fun down by the seashore.

So much that we went back again today.

We've even taken to going for long walks, down past the boats and up the curly wurly bridge that leads back into town. So then. One down, five and a half weeks to go...
