Christmas 2024 started with the creation a new tradition we'd dreamed of doing for a couple of years. On Christmas Eve, we walked into the city together and treated ourselves to hot chocolate and a book.
See if you can match the title to the reader.
Then, Christmas Day arrived. As you might spot, a little girl's presents these days include vodka...
...but a cuddly toy is still always well received.
Two lovely girls ready for the big day.
As was the back of the house.
And we had a lovely day. There were eight of us, the food went well (thanks to some excellently judged food ordering from Emma). And the big family Christmas we'd always dreamed of hosting in our own home was finally a reality.
After dinner entertainment included a table tennis tournamnet (that Jim took VERY seriously as official umpire) and a lovely quiet moment with everyone sitting around the log burner.
Lily snuck off for a Christmas cuddle (and, cough, a snooze) with Ziggy.
We lazed around for a day or two and Lily caught up with her friends for a look round the sales.
Our annual walk around Hainford included an impromptu driving lesson.
And we pulled 'the face' at the thought of going back to work.
On new Year's Eve, Mummy and Daddy went out to the garden and literally looked back over our new home.
While Lily went out to a party...
2024 started off very challenging indeed. But ended with a new home, a new city and for Lily, a whole gang of new friends. Now for our first full year in Cintra...
