At the start of 2021, Lily finally overtook Mummy in the height department.
We had a camping weekend in the lounge, complete with open fire and roast chciken.
Then we made the best of a re-instigated lockdown by creating 'Thursday Envelopes'. Each one contained an exciting event to give each week a little boost.
The first was a home roller disco.
Another converted the shed into an American style diner.
In February, Leigh was blanketed in snow.
Lily hosted a retro disco party.
Mummy and Lily gave the loft room a makeover.
We created an amazing series of 'sleeveface' photos.
Then Lily was finally able to go back to school in March.
Mummy built a graden bar area.
And Lily went to Specsavers.
We hosted 'Christmay', a festive do-over.
And Lily turned 14.
Dee Dee spent ten days in the wilderness (well, trapped in the school over half term).
Lily's artistic skills really came on.
We invited the Jefferson's round for our Home Glasto event.
The second the summer holidays kicked in, Lily got a second set of piercings.
We went to London for the day and Lily took part in an art event.
We got dressed up for Kayla and Thomas's wedding.
Lily started Year 10.
We tracked down the piece Banksy had left in Cromer as part of his 'Spraycation'.
And we spent a fab weekend mini-break exploring Norwich.
Lily even had a little look around the art courses at City College.
Halloween was scary as ever.
Lily and Mummy spent a day in Lindon, taking in the Tate Modern and Camden Market.
We held our very own version of Leigh Lights in the garden.
Lily decorated a local business for Christmas.
She played bass (very well) in her school's Christmas concert.
And skated round for hours at the Winter Wonderland.
This was part of our mini-Christmas, which included a tinsel wrapped walk along the seafront with red cup drinks.
Lily wore a very stylish outfit to dance along to the Strictly final.
Then we headed off to Norfolk for Christmas.
Lily was memorably chased around the pond by the ducks.
We spent Boxing Day in Hainford, before heading home for the New Year.
There was a lot of stuff online about how restrictive 2021 had been. Again, we realise just how lucky we are, but we managed to have some amazing times. Possibly even because of the lockdowns, that made us enjoy our home life in ever more creative ways. Which brings us to 2022...
