Birthday time again.
Our little girl has a style all her own. Where others might want chocolate cake or sweeties, Lily specifically asked for a special birthday bowl of potatoes.
Though there was still an opportunity for chocolate cake as part of this mind boggling 'Freak Shake'.
This year's party theme was 'VIP'.
Guests were strictly by invitation only. If their name wasn't on the list they weren't getting in.
Turns out there were quite a few on the list.
The guests rocked out...
...then headed out, for a special birthday treat at Henry Burgers.
It's a great place and the staff looked after us.
Lily was having a good time.
Hope we didn't scare off too many of the other diners.
The traditional party conger home.
There was cake.
And games.

No wonder she needed to recover after all that.
Also this month, the small matter of the World Cup. Lily got all dressed up for England's first match against Tunisia. She was very excited, but staring at a one all deadlock 89 minutes in, you could see it wasn't everything she'd hoped. Welcome to being an England fan.
Daddy got this message at work. An invitation to come and hang out in the summer house.

Who's this teeny bopper? Lily got all glammed up to go to her first proper gig.
At Wembley Stadium no less.
Lily got her glitter on.
Daddy... naaahhh.
We saw the one and only Taylor Swift. There she is making a point of giving Lily the thumbs up.
You can see how much we all enjoyed it.
We were given special wristbands that lit up the entire crowd.

Lily even got some personalised memorabilia.
No less a grand performance was Lily's debut in the orchestra at the annual Cliffs Pavilion school music show.
She was down the front on the right:
Friday nights have turned into a regular Summer House dinner occasion.
Lily was all set with pop and pizza for England's second match. A 6-1 feast of football no less.
Naturally we headed out straight after to recreate the goals.
More sun, more glitter. Which gets absolutely everywhere, by the way.
This is her first phone. As it's Lily's last few weeks at school, she's swapping numbers with all her friends so they can keep in touch.
Speaking of which, there was a special sleepover event for Lily's year at the trampoline park.

So with a new school on the horizon, it's time for a new uniform.
How grown up?
New sports kit too.
As the month came to an end, we went to one last school fete.
Lily wore a fab summer dress.
Daddy got a wet sponge in the face.
And the Glee Club put on a fab show.
We finished the day with Chinese in the... you guessed it.
Then it was time to chill out again.
Next day, Lily went to see Marley.
She got some plants for the garden.
We spent most of the day outside. This is a little rechargeable turntable, so we can play music in the garden.
We showed Lily how to turn a record over - She said, “Oh wow, it’s two?!” Then we explained how the music is physically scratched into the plastic on both sides. She thinks it’s really cool...
