Lily was keen to try out the new sewing machine she got for Christmas.
We braved the weather with a walk into town.

We settled in for Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates. Most jolly it was too.

Despite spending the whole morning cosy in our pyjamas, we got up and went out to fly a kite. But first, a quick snack in Rossi's.
The tide was right in, so instead of the beach, we headed up the hillside.

We had a great time.
Then we hurried home, lit the fire and ordered a Chinese takeaway.
