Bring me sunshine.

This post starts with a snow flurry. But it will end very differently.

Uh oh, there goes another one.

On the plus side, it meant a visit from Tallulah the Tooth Fairy and Lily being £2 better off.

Last weekend, we played a little tennis on Saturday morning.

Then followed it with refreshments at a cafe opposite the park.

Here's Lily and Mummy smiling in the sunshine.

Mummy decided to tile the bathroom on Bank Holiday Monday. Daddy helped by going out and getting pizzas for lunch.

As Mummy pointed out to Lily, none of her other friends would be having a Bank Holiday bathroom pizza party...

This is Lily and Mummy taking a selfie squashed together in the narrow aisle of our new Co Op. You may remember how spacious it was in the post before this one when Lily could scoot round it. Well, it's totally the opposite now.

Couldn't resist snapping this. A little girl sound asleep cuddling her Lotso bear.

This week, the school held a 'Greek Day'. And Lily wore a totally different costume to the one she had for last year's 'Roman Day'.

The school tweeted out this picture of Greek ladies at playtime.

This was one of Lily's homework pieces - a mosaic of Archimedes.

This weekend, we went to a giant slide at the end of town. Lily insisted Daddy went down it. Then told him off when she discovered a sign that said only for ages 7-14.

Then we went to an ice cream parlour. Lily had the mango sorbet and it is really, really good.

So from a few seconds of snow to a miniature, day-long Summer.  Today was glorious from start to finish. And we began with breakfast in the garden.

Lily caught some rays with a book.

Then we splashed out on a new paddling pool.

Speaking of splashing...

Like pretty much everyone else in the country, we had our first barbecue of the year.

We had sausages with balsamic onions, these mini cheeseburgers and Mummy's famous barbecued banana splits, with melted chocolate orange sections. Oh yes.

Finally, we headed to the park and Lily raced around on her new scooter. She was all smiles. Until a few minutes later when she took a tumble off it and grazed her knee and elbow. Actually, she was still smiling even after that, that's how good a day we had today.
