Easter may have been over, but Lily's school holiday was just beginning. She started with a pyjama day and lunch in bed.
...but if you brush the image with your hand, it changes to give a different view indeed.
Lily visited Mummy's shop and made herself a new costume.
It's turtley great.
"I'd like to buy a flower girl please."
"I'm sorry, we don't sell flower girls."
"Really? There's one in your window..."
This was great. Daddy was craving Chinese food, so Mummy and Lily made some and served it in their very own homemade Dragon Noodle containers.
Last weekend was nice enough to spend the afternoon at the beach.
We started with chips...
...although we weren't so lucky getting any crab to go with them.
"Can you two just step back a bit..."
Mummy took this great selfie under the boardwalk near Old Leigh.
Of course, we had to finish with an ice cream.
Lily had an exciting time camping out in the front room. She set up her little teepee, filled it with cushions and a duvet and spent the night there.
Guess where else she wanted to go...
Mummy and Lily went on loads of rides together.
They enjoyed a mini donut or two.
And then chanced their arm and got this fella out of a grabber machine. they only had to put in about three times as much as it would have cost to buy...
I'm sure those are screams of joy.
And there's more.
And more.
These days, the little girl is big enough to go on some rides by herself. Just as well, if you ask me...
The new cuddly toy didn't make much of a hat.
So Mummy and Lily walked up the hill for a girly shopping spree.
Then it was off to the South Bank.
Lily had a quick look round the Tate and naturally, a good go through the shop.
Then she came to visit Daddy at work. Sadly, we totally forgot to take any photos of Lily at Ogilvy towers. But we all went on for dinner after.
That art book that Lily bought came in very handy on the train ride home.
So after all that excitement, we were ready for a quiet, chilled out Sunday. Which we didn't get because Lily needed to DO something.
So we hit the tennis courts to try and tire her out. Dunno about Lily, but it certainly had that effect on me.
Then we jumped in the car to pick up a bunch of tiles for Mummy and a load of bricks for Lily. 907 in fact, as part of a Lego(ish) version of the Titanic. Sadly, we got as far as the passenger deck and the whole stern fell off. No wonder the original sank.
So there you have it. A little girl and a lot of adventures.
