...your dreams come true. And Lily's dream to go to Disneyland came true for the second part of her Easter break. So she and Mummy dressed accordingly.
Then packed for the off.
Fortunately, we changed at Lille and sure enough, arrived at the 'Santa Fe' hotel in Disneyland Paris.
Our hotel was themed around Disney's 'Cars', with cone shaped lights and mirrors and pictures of Lightning McQueen everywhere.
On our first night after dinner, we went for a wander - and were lucky enough to catch Disney Dreams. It's the big lights and fireworks show up at the castle.
Quite spectacular it was too.
We all thought it was amazing.
She's all ears.
Happy girls.
Next day, we went exploring.
This is what the castle looks like in the daytime.
Through the castle is the park and lots of rides and attractions.
We checked a few out. First up, the Teacups.
Then we did some sharpshooting on Buzz Lightyear's adventure, followed by a trip on a rocket for Mummy and Lily.
That's them up there!
Lily was desperate to go on Thunder Mountain - a train ride rollercoaster that threw us around a mountainside. It was good fun, but no Rage.
We also went on Peter Pan's flight (so-so), Pirates of the Caribbean (rubbish) and the Ratatouille ride that was a 3D simulator, shrinking you down to rodent size. We all loved that one (so much we queued up for it twice).
That evening, we dined in another hotel's restaurant, then hit the fireworks again. But this time, Lily had a lightshow of her own on her head...
Day two, and we set out once more, Daddy sporting his manly man-bag.
We did some more rides then climbed up inside the Disney castle.
Outside, we caught the end of a Mary Poppins dance routine.
Then had a photo opportunity with Cinderella's carriage.
All this was a precursor to the day's main event, lunch with princesses. Would any show up? Why yes, yes they did. Here's Lily meeting Ariel and Eric.
Then Suzy the mouse.
Boo Bug also got an audience with Aurora...
...and even Cinderella put in an appearance.
The food was the stuff of fairytales too.
Check out the slipper dessert:
Outside, we found ourselves in the middle of a parade.
It was an Easter special, encouraging us to have a hop, hop, hoppy day.
Then we headed off to Disney Studios. And Lily Boo found herself in the story from which she takes her middle name.
Lily also wanted to go on Crush's Coaster. The queue times had been atrocious every time we looked, but we had nothing better to do with our afternoon. Daddy said he couldn't understand why the queue was so big. After all, it was only going to be tame and hardly on a par with Rage.
And when Daddy's wrong, Daddy's REALLY wrong. Crush's Coaster starts out sedately enough. Then whisks you up high in a pitch black, indoor enclosure - before slinging you down and around whilst rotating, at ferocious speed. Frankly, it was terrifying and we were all a bit shaky when we got off (Mummy was okay, Lily was a bit taken aback and Daddy was in pieces).
Here's Lily photobombing a Fantasia broom. Note Lots o Huggin' Bear in the pail. He was one of Lily's many treats from the various shops and emporiums. Which also included a Tinkerbell cap, Rapunzel brooch and several Vinylmations.
On our final day, Mummy treated us all to breakfast at Mickey's Cafe. This was our best chance to get up close with actual Disney characters. And get up close Lily did.
She added a few more autographs to her collection.
And Mickey was happy to pose for photos.
Lily also met Goofy.
And Dale (or is it Chip?).
We rounded our stay off with the Behind-The-Scenes tram tour.
Jeremy Irons's commentary aside, there were some spectacular moments with trucks on fire and flash floods crashing over our tour.
Then we hung out by the lake one last time.
And went back to the hotel one last time.
Before saying a fond farewell to Disneyland, France and our amazing adventure.
