Last hurrah.

So, six weeks ago, we were wondering how we'd fill all the days of Lily's holiday. But adventure followed adventure and suddenly, it's time to go back to school. There was just time for one last lunch with Nanny Maureen and Grandad James.

Though Grandad appears to have ended up in the doghouse. Or rather, as the doghouse.

Look where I live!

A visit to McDonald's gets Lily to put on a happy face.

Then it was party time, with two birthdays in one weekend.

As you can see, there were plenty of games.

There was even a bouncy castle at the second party.

Certainly seemed to tire everyone out. Could be a good investment.

Anybody home?

Then Lily headed down to the beach and made a new friend.

New school year, new class, new teacher and new schooliform. Lily Boo was dressed, ready and eager to go half an hour before they even opened the gate. She was really excited. But Mummy said when she got in and all her friends had big eyes, nervous expressions and trembling lower lips, Lily got a bit sad too. But it all turned out fine by the end of the day.

Then as soon as the bell rang, Lily headed off to set the garden straight.

Tatoes and purple broccoli in time for Christmas.

As long as you look after them properly.

Even though the summer is over and it's September, the sun is out. Daddy came home on Friday night to fish and chips (and cava) on the beach.

This is what you want after a hard day at the office.

The water was a bit chilly mind.

The end of her first week back and Lily hits the playground.

Then the ice cream shop.

Then the water.

The holiday may be over. But living here, you'd be forgiven for not realising...
