Crabby.

Much to everyone's surprise, the first two days in October turned out to be a scorcher. If only we lived somewhere we could take advantage of that. Waitaminute...
We checked the tide timetable and headed for the beach at optimum crabbing time.
Armed only with our pink net and a slice or two of ham, we set out to see if the crabs were nipping.
Sure enough...

It was the perfect weather for Lily's favourite candyfloss flavour ice cream. Mind you, she loves it so much I expect we'll still be buying it in the middle of winter.
Today is Mummy's birthday. So it was scrambled eggs breakfast in bed all round.
A proper little mademoiselle, Lily Boo has a Chanel ribbon in her hair.
We had a quick trip to a vintage fair. Lily was very taken with this retro headpiece.
And with the fine conditions holding, there was just enough time to fill up the pool...
...before having the neighbours round for a barbecue.
