All Wight!

We booked a week's holiday and headed off on a ferry to the Isle of Wight.
Accompanied by Nanny Maureen and Grandad Jim, we stayed in a lovely appartment near Ventnor, with a sprawling garden.
Just down the road was a path down to a secret wooded bay.
And as you can see, we did most of our dining, including breakfast, al fresco.
After popping in to a glitzy party on Saturday night, we spent a lazy Sunday on Ventnor beach.
Something fishy going on here.
We met up with Auntie Sarah and Uncle Jimmy.
Next day, it was off to the Isle of Wight zoo, where we saw white lions, tigers and lemurs.
Not to mention the Lion Queen.
Uh, there were real tigers too. But Mummy and Lily weren't keen on standing quite so close to those.
This is Shanklin Chine, a natural gorge filled with all sorts of amazing plantlife.
It leads to Shanklin beach, and shenanigans with a rubber ring.
Daddy's all packed for the seaside.
It was a dream come true!
We also went to the theme park at Blackgang Chine. Here's Lily in the Mouth of Hell. Well, the eye.
Old Lily Hubbard.
Spot the difference.
We even saw a castle with two princesses.
Emma treated us to her signature dessert - barbecued bananas with marshmallow and chocolate.
This is the Needles, a rock formation of note to the west of the island.
It had a wonderful, secluded beach that Lily enjoyed very much.
Daddy's legs are so bright, she's gotta wear shades.
Small wonder the beach is so secluded when you see the stomach churning way to access it.
Lily needed a sizeable cuppa when she got back to the top.
Then it was off for a lovely lunch at Totland Bay.
If it seems like every beach and cove was sunny, delightful and not remotely crowded, well that's because they all were. Plus we had a week of staggeringly good weather.
Another day, another fantastic spot. This is Steephill Cove. There were proper cappuccinos you could enjoy on the beach...
...and specialty crab pasties you could enjoy right at the fisherman's shed where the crabs had been caught.
But while all the rest of us were bulging out of our clothes thanks to all the barbecues, fish and chips and cafes, Maureen seemed to have shrunk alarmingly.

Grandad Jim is making a massive movie of the holiday, but in the meantime, here's a short cut made from his footage. The music was chosen by Lily Boo - every time we got in the car...
